Rewriting the City Through Literature

Sevilla Canon Inverso is an AI-generated film that reimagines the city of Seville through its rich literary heritage. Using artificial intelligence to transform literary texts into audiovisual urban art, the project creates a heterogeneous space—simultaneously fictitious and hyperrealistic—where traditional images and symbols converge in the creation of an unprecedented urban vision.

"AI systems are used to create audiovisual urban art works from different literary texts and artistic expressions, reinventing the canon and literary fragments dedicated to the city through the surprising narrative resources that AI offers."

Part of Urbana Verba

Sevilla Canon Inverso is the second installment of the Urbana Verba project, following the success of "Milan: Factory of Future" (2023), which was exhibited for five months at Milan Malpensa airport. The project combines Artificial Intelligence and Digital Humanities to narrate places in an innovative and artistic way, born from reflection on contemporaneity and the literary, historical, and anthropological roots of cities.

Exhibition

The film premiered on November 9, 2024 at the iconic Setas de Sevilla (Metropol Parasol), followed by an exhibition at the CICUS - Centro de Iniciativas Culturales de la Universidad de Sevilla from November 7-12, 2024.
